Studio32 Logo
Studio32 Theatre Company aims to produce quality entertaining theatre across a wide range of styles.  We are equally at home staging challenging, provoking drama or cheesy musical entertainment (and everything in between).  Committed to providing opportunities for anyone interested and passionate about performing, we are proud to have helped produce generations of performing talent with many of our past members going on to promising careers in the arts.  We are blessed with a number of talented directors and production team and are able to stage several productions throughout the year.

Established in August 1985 among the corridors of what was then Claremont High School by two 16-year-old schoolgirls, desperate to participate in theatre. Our name itself reflects our origins, classroom A32 was where we rehearsed and staged our first studio productions, to small audiences balanced precariously on uncomfortable bleachers.  Original productions were limited to smaller studio-style formats but as the club grew in numbers and ambition, musical theatre became a reality and in 1992 the club performed its first production in the Village Theatre, East Kilbride, “The Matchgirls”.

Studio32 was the first group to perform in the East Kilbride Arts Centre when it opened in 1994 and has established itself as one of the most productive, professional and fun theatre companies in East Kilbride. The East Kilbride Arts Centre is a superb outlet for smaller-scale productions and the club has performed more shows in the Arts Centre than any other company.

Today the club membership stands at 100 and with hundreds of productions completed, Studio32 continues to be one of the most productive amateur companies in the whole of Scotland.

We hold rehearsals up to three times a week usually on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sundays.

We are currently not open to new members.
